“Abandoned Bike” Marcia Fasy
Marcia says: “I took the picture of the abandoned bike in Grants Pass on February 26, 2014. I have long looked for a great bike shot opportunity like this. It is just such a classic shot! The camera is a Canon 7D with a Canon 10-22 lens at 22mm, iso 100, 1/160th at f10, no flash. It was edited in Adobe Lightroom.”

“The Sunset Garden” Dale George
“Sunset Garden was taken after being awake for approx. 30 hours as we had been traveling since 4:00 a.m. the previous morning and were trying to walk off our jet-lag. We had walked past this spot the hour before and I had made a mental note to try to capture it on the return to our hotel. This time, the lighting was much softer with a beautiful glow on the Louvre and trees in the background, while the foreground was totally shaded.
This just another example of not knowing what you have in the camera until you put it through the software. The original file is not impressive at all, appearing dull and washed out. Some color enhancement, detail work on the building and 2 layers of graduated tint on the sky brought it to life.” Shot at ISO 400 F/7.1 Exp. 1/125

Taken at Bandon about an hour before sunset. Taken during the super bowl so very few people out and about. I’m a Bronco fan and we all know how that turned out. So, I’m glad I chose to go photographing instead.

“Bed Time Adventure Stories” Dale George
Bedtime Adventure Stories was a last minute inspiration. Once I had thought of it, it was just a matter of getting it to look right. The hardest part was figuring out how to keep the pulp magazine in his hands…it kept wanting to slide downward. I used a shot glass for the milk…dog treats for the cookies…and a curtain tie-back for the pull cord to call for his man servant. Not much was done to process this…just some detail work on the magazine artwork and a bit of cropping.

“Into My Waiting Arms” Russ Williamson
My photo was taken while Scuba diving in Southern California. It was taken with a Nikonos V camera with an extension tube and bracketing arms on the lens. The scene was illuminated with a Nikon flash. I used Kodak 100 Gold 35mm film. The negative was scanned digitally, and processed in Photoshop 6 and printed on my Canon iX6520 printer.

“White on White was inspired by an article I was reading in a book. I shot it with the Canon 7D and a Canon 24 – 105 mm L lens at f5, 1/250, ISO 800 . It was lit from below.”
