Susan writes about her image: Reinhart Park is home to quite a lot of wildlife including Great White Egrets. This photo was taken in early March with my Olympus camera at 553mm, f6.2, 1/2000sec, iso 1600.
This image was taken with a Nikon D850. The exposure data was f8 at 1/125th second at ISO 1600 and the lens was at 70 mm. Taken on a wet and cloudy spring day in an alley in downtown Grants Pass. Although the light can seem flat on a cloudy day, certain subjects (like rain and shiny surfaces) reflect the white sky in a beautiful way.
This image was taken in the middle of March on a very stormy day. The wind was howling and the rain was blowing sideways.
Turning the image to a more monchrome look and boosting the contrast and reducing haze helped to bring out the drama of the powerful waves. Camera data: Nikon D850 with 24-70 lens at 32 mm. ISO 800, f10 at 1/640th of a second.
Larry writes about his image: It took a bit of patience to wait for the sun to move far enough west to finally light Bridal Veil Falls. As it did, the moon started to rise. Valley View is a parking lot at the west end of Yosemite Valley. Shot in February 2022, this is a Focus Stack of 3 images to ensure a sharp focus from the front of the scene to the back. 1/75 sec, ISO 160, f/18, 16mm. Fuji X-T4 on a tripod.
Rudy writes about his image: The image was taken in Nevada at The Valley of Fire State Park. The early morning light really helps bring out the unusual colors of the rock formations. The image was shot using a Canon 5D camera with a 24mm lens.
