Rudy says about his image: The lynx photo was shot at a cat preserve using a 200mm lens. I used focus stacking to get a sharp image through-out. It was late in the day and there was still a little light that came in on the cat.
Larry says of his image: A composite of two images. The Model, Sara McDonald, and I shot set of fruit inspired images over 5 hours. Changing outfits every hour. This image with the orange theme fit well with my black and white image from dawn at Mesquite Dunes, Death Valley.
Jim says of his image: ‘Ballet Dancer’ was a studio shot. One flash in soft-box high and to the left, looking almost straight down on the subject. One flash with a spot grid lighting the backdrop. One flash with umbrella camera right for just a little fill on the shadow side. ISO 64, f5.6 with a 35 mm lens on a full-frame camera.
“Karate Coot” – Jim Ingraham
Jim says of his image: ‘Karate Coot’ was taken at Reinhart Volunteer Park (All Sports Park). Taken with a zoom lens on a full-frame camera set at 500mm and an aperture of f9. ISO was 1600 and the shutter speed was 1/3200th of a second handheld. Coots are beautiful in an ugly sort of way.
Susansaysabout her image: I captured this mama fox and her kit on a sweltering July day this past year. The family took up residence under my shed until the kits were weaned and I enjoyed every minute of their stay. I spent numerous happy hours trying to catch them with my camera. I shot this with my Olympus EM1 MK3 camera and at 400mm.
Sunset Cruise was taken by Pixel phone on the spur of the moment at an altitude of 845′ (7th st. Bridge) as a glorious August 1st sunset broke through the cloudy west skies. I was fortunate to catch several returning dinner jetboats along with a fisherman and his swimming dog (right edge). All of this made for a very nice scenic card that now sells at Gallery One. 😊
Solo Larry Pollock
Walking the sand dunes just south of Florence, OR, on a grey day looking for an image to capture. Shutter speed was my main thought for these riders in motion.
