Jesse Hart and company will be once again performing with fire on the northwest corner of 6th and G on First Friday as soon as it gets kind of dark. They love photographers. Get there early to claim a spot. It gets kind of crowded with the audience.
A good opportunity to get some shots for this months FB challenge !
The program will be “Critiquing and Judging Photos” by Jim Ingraham. The public is welcome and it is free to attend.
Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesdays from 7:00PM – 9:00PM in the First Christian Church’s Fellowship Hall (downstairs) at: 305 SW “H” Street, Grants Pass, OR 97526
Judges: Greg Smith, David Vanderlip (Guest Judge), Marcia Fasey

Electronic Image Competition – “After Dark”
First Place
Image of the Month “So Pretty” Jan Kloes
“Thisimage was taken using a Canon SL1 camera with an 50mm f/1.8 lens. It was taken at f/1.8, 1/125 sec. at ISO 400. The starry background was achieved by using opaque paper with the star shape cut into it placed in front of the lens. The technique is called “shaped bokeh”. Bokeh is the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens. In this case the starry lights were Christmas tree lights behind the ornament. I had seen this effect on photographs before, and decided to experiment”.
